I was very happy when I got the message on Wednesday evening to say that Oliver & Georgia’s school would be shut on Thursday. We hadn’t had any snow at that point but with the impending forecast it was nice not to have to worry. By Thursday afternoon we had a decent amount of snow, although not as much as most around the country, we finally sat down for roast chicken dinner at 9.45pm knowing that both barns were full of cosy, happy alpacas and that the only group still outside were tucked up with access to a field shelter, food, water & hay. So with a second day off for the children on Friday and the obligatory “playing in the snow” done, I decided to abandon all plans of housework and paperwork for a little crafty time.
With the wonderful “Mama Makes” launching the first of their stamps featuring my designs, I have been watching with interest to see what people have been making with them. It’s a strange feeling seeing people craft with my designs! Anyway, with some lovely makes popping up on social media I decided to use a couple of the designs in my own crafting!
The images are coloured using watercolour pencils and the mixed media canvas boards use many elements from my crafting stash; Indigoblu Super Thick Slap it On and Cottage Paint, Artistic Flair stencils and Prima Finnabair Alchemy Acrylic Paint in “Opal Magic – Rose Gold” to name just a few!! The Prima paint is just scrummy and adds a delicate sheen to the project (although it’s difficult to see from the photos).. I may just need to do a bit more crafting so I can try out the other couple of colours I bought!
